  1. Here in Philippines it's fairly common to have spam calls. I heard stories from others there are scammers trying to clone voice during calls.

So whenever there's an unknown number calling me, I don't speak first when I answer. Being a voice actor I somehow have trained ears to assess if the person at the end of the call is using AI. So when I finally speak to scammers to say "hello", I use several funny voices

  2. A.I. needs to be band. I have worked in IT and have been around this for over 40 years. I can see A.I. used more for evial than good. What people do not reilize is Alexa, and Siri and believe it or not Dragon Natrally Speaking is all A.I.

  3. Same thing happened with my father but my father is very clever minded… 😂 he asked all possible question like how's wife now what kind of disease she's suffering from scammer confused at the same time… 😂 nd my papa understand he's a scammer

  4. This is one of the reasons why it should be terminated.
But people are too stupid to realize this.
And the fact that the movie terminator showed up.
No, nobody should be making these a eyes to begin with. It should be a big hint.
But no, gotta do it anyways. Just stupid.

  5. And when your essential institutions switch to using voice recognition, rather that recognizing your phone number, asking you (admittedly shallow) id questions, and possibly your account numbers, it'll be a problem.
If you're going to share that information with a "family member" whose number isn't in your contacts as "muffy," well, yes they're a-holes, but you're not the sharpest bulb in the shed.

  6. You’re making AI look like the bad thing, but it’s not like all the things it can be used for harm or good. It depends on who is using it. Maybe if you were to use AI you could find more scammers

  7. Before this they would mimic voice. Someone I know grandmother was called "in jail" she said "Ill wire the $5,000 give me a moment" accidentally hung up – call him directly, he was fine – same day he deleted his Facebook and other social medias that he either directly gave, indirectly gave or has way too much information on his real life.

  8. Scammers are not getting bad at scamming. They are getting good at scamming. The protection against them is getting bad at protecting people.
Maybe, you also need the help of AI to write the script?
